Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Fact Sheet |
Treatment Types - Skin RejuvenationSkin rejuvenation treatment is best achieved by naturally removing old skin cells whilst stimulating increased production of new skin cells. This process is called tissue remodelling and it is the most effective way to achieve a thick, firm and elastic skin that is entirely natural looking.
We have selected the following Skin Rejuvenation treatments as the most effective means currently available of achieving tissue remodelling safely without the risk of surgery or unwanted side effects:-
Suitability for Skin Rejuvenation Suitable for males and females of any age and skin colour looking to achieve a thicker, more youthful, toned and vibrant looking skin free of surface irregularities and an even unblemished complexion. This is the ideal treatment for people who wish to reduce the visible effects of expression lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, coarse skin, blemishes and other effects of ageing, together with environmental and sun damage. Aims of Skin Rejuvenation treatment
Skin Rejuvenation Treatment OverviewAt consultation the condition of the skin is assessed and a program of treatments will be recommended to meet the clients objectives.
Where the client requires a thicker, firmer and softer skin a course of regenerative peels will often have sufficient effect. Regenerative peels are an effective method of starting the tissue remodelling process.
Where the client also has a coarse or scarred skin surface then microdermabrasion will also be recommended to provide a smooth and soft skin.
Where the client suffers from blemishes that are a result of sun damage, Intense Pulsed Light will be incorporated into the program. Intense pulsed Light treatment is also known as photo-rejuvenation. Photo-rejuvenation is also a powerful stimulus for tissue remodelling and starts the process deep within the dermis.
Where the client requires a toned and tightened skin or a reduction in pockets of unwanted fat mesotherapy will be recommended.
Where the client has several problems that need to be addressed a combination therapy program will be recommended. Combined therapies have the benefit of enhancing the tissue remodelling process. Skin Rejuvenation Recovery TimeNormally no recovery time is needed and clients can immediately resume their daily activities. In rare circumstance (dependant on the treatment program) slight redness may be apparent for up to 24 hours following the treatment. Typical Skin Rejuvenation Course DurationsClients will normally see an immediate visual improvement and notice a softer smoother feel after one treatment. This can be demonstrated by the trial treatment. Four to five treatments at weekly intervals are required before the skin begins to thicken. Significant visible improvements to all aspects of the skin are apparent within ten treatments. The total number of treatments will depend on the expectations of the client and the initial condition of the skin. The number of treatments required will be estimated at consultation. Microdermabrasion is not advised where the client is susceptible to keloid scarring. Clients who suffer from broken capillaries, diabetes or eczema should discuss this at time of consultation. Clients on medication are advised to consult with their GP prior to consultation.
IPL treatments should not be carried out if the client is pregnant, suffers from epilepsy or suffers from light induced skin rashes.
Mesotherapy by Isophoresis treatments should not be carried out if the client is fitted with a pacemaker, has recently had a serious medical condition, is pregnant or breast feeding, or suffers from severe asthma or epilepsy. RisksThere are virtually no risks with this treatment. A small number of clients may experience a slight redness, but this normally disappears within 5 - 30 minutes. In circumstances where clients have exceptionally thin and fragile skin mild short term bruising is possible but extremely rare. All clients are tested for allergic reaction before treatment. If mesotherapy is used, a sensitive reaction to one of the ingredients might occur in rare instances, producing slight redness that can last for one or two days.
There are no long-term risks or adverse side effects. Satisfaction GuaranteeSkinGenesis has a unique Satisfaction Guarantee, details of which will be discussed during the consultation.
