What causes acne and scarring?
Several factors contribute to the development of acne and scarring. Primarily it is a problem with abnormal flaking of cells inside the hair follicle. This then causes a plug, which can lead to swelling and cause redness. Bacteria that naturally live on the surface of the skin and an imbalance in hormones also add to the causes of acne. Scars in the case of acne are caused by the body's inflammatory response to sebum, bacteria and dead cells that are trapped in the plugged follicle. The scar is left by the process of your body's attempt to heal the damaged area. How to remove acne and acne scarring
