SkinGenesis and the Care Quality Commission

We are proud of our record with the CQC.

Their inspections have revealed that our processes and protocols far exceed the National Minimum Standards. Indeed, various CQC inspectors have asked for copies of our forms and paperwork to show their colleagues how it should be done!

These high standards and almost obsessive 'attention to detail' run through all the treatments we do - it's what sets SkinGenesis apart.

Why is registering with the Care Quality Commission important?

Under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act (2003), the Care Quality Commission is responsible for regulating and inspecting independent healthcare providers and operators of intense pulsed light and laser equipment, such as SkinGenesis.

The Care Quality Commission carries out a programme of Risk Based Inspections to ensure the the service provider is meeting National Minimum Standards published by the Department of Health (DoH).  The National Minimum Standards ensure appropriate safeguards and quality assurance arrangements are in place for clients.

The findings of the Inspections are published on the Care Quality Commission website so that members of the public can see how their service provider measures up against the National Minimum Standards.
