What a Photo Can Tell You About Your Skin - November 2007 |
|
Leading non-surgical skin treatment clinic SkinGenesis has launched an innovative new skin analysis service which can diagnose sun damage, the causes of acne and the effects of winter skin – all from a simple photograph! By taking an ultraviolet photo of the face, SkinGenesis’s revolutionary technology can analyse the skin, and determine potential problems. One of the most important diagnoses the machine can make is the extent of sun damage on the skin. While some damage can be visible in the form of pigmentation on the skin, underlying damage often can’t be seen by the naked eye. With the photoanalysis machine, SkinGenesis’s expert practitioners can recognise this damage and advise clients on how to best protect vulnerable areas of the skin. For clients seeking acne treatment, photoanalysis can be a great way of diagnosing troubled areas of the face, such as blocked pores, blackheads and whiteheads. Blocked pores aren’t usually visible, and so the first sign will be an acne breakout. SkinGenesis can help prevent this by identifying and clearing blocked pores before the skin reacts. Photoanalysis technology can also diagnose dehydration of the skin. There is a big difference between dry skin, where it feels tight and uncomfortable, and dehydrated skin. If you skin is dehydrated, the underlying structure has been deprived of water and so can be prone to breakouts and blocked pores. By diagnosing dehydrated skin early, it can be rehydrated to keep it looking fresh and healthy. William Haseldine, Director of SkinGenesis commented “By examining the skin at a deeper level than usual, we can tailor solutions to a number of skin problems that would not previously have been obvious on sight. This pro-active approach to skincare can ensure that clients don’t experience unsightly breakouts or dry, scaly skin as we can treat them before the problem becomes obvious.” ~Ends~ Issued on behalf of SkinGenesis by Adessi For more information contact Anna Geraghty at Adessi on Tel: (0113) 234 3862 or Fax: (0113) 243 9040 Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
