The perils of the sun - protect your skin this summer
It's that time of year again when everyone starts to jet-set across the world seeking hotter, sunnier climes. However judging by the weather we've been enjoying here in the UK, it's not just the Med and the Caribbean where we need to be reaching for the sun lotion.
Cancer Research UK recently released figures that showed that over 10,000 people in the UK alone are diagnosed with skin cancer each year, with binge tanning posing the biggest threat.
Wearing a high factor sunscreen every morning after a shower will get you into a routine of protecting your skin. After a couple of weeks, it will just become a habit and you'll wonder why you never bothered before! For prolonged periods of exposure, re-apply your sunscreen every 1 - 2 hours.
