SkinGenesis sponsors Miss Leeds

Beauty contests tend to get some bad press, and here at SkinGenesis we had always believed the clichés about beauty queens. However, when we met Becky Baker, the current Miss Leeds and SkinGenesis client, we began to change our perspective.

The 22 year old, a student at Leeds University, wanted to prove that there is more to being a beauty queen than just looking pretty. She commented “In the past beauty pageants were just about looking pretty whereas now, if you become Miss England you can actually do something with it.”

We were impressed with Becky’s attitude, and although she is a natural beauty we put together a package of treatments to help her fulfil her goal. Becky had Agera regenerative peels and our new laser teeth whitening treatment in the run up to the competition which took place in Leicester on July 14th. She said “I loved the fact that the treatments were all natural and so easy to fit in between my studies. The staff were great and backed me all the way. I felt I looked great, and am really grateful for their support. ”

Unfortunately Becky didn’t win the title of Miss England, but she looked great and proudly promoted us as her sponsors!

As well as being Miss Leeds, Becky is entering the final year of her degree and is also committed to her volunteering work. She used the competition as a chance to promote her involvement with the Non-Violence Project, a worldwide organisation which aims to change children's attitudes and behaviour in connection to gratuitous violence.
