Reasons for Preventative and Maintenance Treatments

We've built our reputation as the leading non-surgical specialist in the North by getting great results with a wide range of treatments.  A combination of excellent specialist training (see our recent Investors in People review), the reassurance of Healthcare Commission audit and inspection, and innovative combination treatments, has given thousands of clients the solution they were looking for.

But what should we be doing to maintain the improvements or prevent the re-occurrence of the sorts of common problems that affect us all?

Our experience has taught us that occasional gentle stimulation can make the skin more resilient to problems and give it a natural healthy look and vibrancy your friends will envy.  These treatments can be described as Preventative and will be beneficial to all our clients

Not only that, if you've been for a course of treatments you may have been advised that you may need to come back for an occasional treatment to keep your investment in tip top condition.  This occasional treatment can be described as Maintenance and maintenance treatments will be beneficial to our Acne treatment, SkinGym TM, Cellulite Treatment, Fat Reduction, Stretch Mark Removal and Hair Removal clients.  For example, Hair Removal clients will have been told that the skin will continue to generate new follicles so occasional maintenance treatments will be required to remain hair free.

We have now developed a range of Preventative and Maintenance Treatment packages to make it easier than ever for you to be sure you are doing the best for your skin and body.  We have worked hard to put together packages that can be individually tailored to your needs, and at prices that reward your status as an existing SkinGenesis client.  Please call your local SkinGenesis clinic for more details.

P.S.  If you're not yet a SkinGenesis client then you can still take the first steps towards a healthier, younger skin by choosing treatments from our SkinSpa menu.  The SkinSpa menu is there to give a choice of the best single session treatments available, ideal as a "pick me up" before a big event, or to give you the experience of a specialist non-surgical treatment without the commitment of a full course.

P.P.S.  I'd just like to add that a regular Expert Skin Analysis will keep you informed of key health indicators such as pH (acidity) and hydration (moisture content) as well as let you see the deep condition of your skin and, for example, catch the early signs of sun damage.  If you've not yet had an Expert Skin Analysis please call your clinic now - the analysis gives you much valuable information and, for the time being, we don't charge you a penny.  That's right, it's FREE so please do take advantage of this offer as it could save you from premature ageing and hundreds of pounds wasted on unsuitable skin care products over the years.

Grooming for the Groom

According to news reports this month, Wayne Rooney became the latest poster boy for male grooming in the run up to his wedding to Coleen McLoughlin.

This demonstrates the growing trend that we've noticed for men to consider more than just the stag night, with 21st century weddings focussing as much on the Glowing Groom as the Blushing Bride.

This year, we've seen an unprecedented demand for wedding packages from men, with the pressure for the perfect day now falling on the groom as well as the bride. With the average wedding now costing upwards of £20,000, no expense is being spared in the quest for a day to remember.

Skin Rejuvenation treatments - and hair removal for men - are the most popular for grooms-to-be, who want to look fresh and youthful in their wedding photos. The stress of wedding preparations can leave anyone looking tired and aged, and so we often see men choosing to combat this before their big day. Acne is also something that can caused be anxiety, and can often flare up at stressful times and so our acne treatments prove extremely popular with men in the run up to their wedding as they want to avoid walking down the aisle with bad skin.

About 40% of our clients are male, and the demand for treatments is increasing every year.  Previously, it was only women who worried about their skin and the way they looked on their big day, but men are starting to realise just how important it is for their skin to look great and are frequently choosing professional treatments in order to have perfect skin for their perfect day.

New Faces at SkinGenesis

This month, we are welcoming two new therapists to the team at SkinGenesis.

Maxine Carr, who is from Selby in North Yorkshire , joins the Leeds Team after spending the last 5 years running her own salon. She is a Level 3 Qualified Therapist, and will deliver our broad range of expert treatments, including the unique SkinGym 40 day Skin Rejuvenation programme and the recently launched Expert Skin Analysis.

Jayne Hill, another Level 3 Qualified Therapist joins the team at the 10Bridge Health and Wellbeing Centre in Chester . Jayne previously worked at the Park Royal Hotel and Spa, where she delivered beauty treatments to some of Cheshire's elite.

We welcome both Jayne and Maxine, and are sure they will make great additions to the SkinGenesis team!

Leeds Team Walk for Skin

This month, Amanda, Sophie and Clare from the Leeds team got their walking shoes on to raise money for the British Skin Foundation.

The team joined 200 others taking part in the in the 4-mile walk around Temple Newsam park in Leeds to help raise over £100 for the charity.

The British Skin Foundation is the only UK charity dedicated to skin disease research.  It aims to help the eight million people in the United Kingdom with a serious skin condition, and works closely with many of the country's leading dermatology departments and patient support groups.

Here at SkinGenesis, we feel this is a charity that is very close to the work we do, and so we are very keen to help fund research to help eradicate skin disease.

More information of Semi-Permanent Make-Up

Professional semi permanent make-up therapist, Caroline Dent, who runs London  based Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement, has returned to her northern roots, bringing her business with her. (n.b. also know as micropigmentation)

Caroline will be able to give you beautifully sculpted brows, enchantingly enhanced eyes and soft full lips for that ultimate anti-ageing effect at all three SkinGenesis clinics.

Caroline has a number of years experience in aesthetic beauty, and her philosophy is to keep the make-up as soft and natural as possible.

She says "Over the years I have become increasingly aware that it is the little, subtle changes that can really add confidence and promote a greater sense of wellbeing. The soft natural results produced by permanent make-up can achieve these results."

As well as cosmetic procedures, permanent make-up can help with the results of trauma from surgery, for example helping to restore the confidence and sense of femininity for those women who have had a mastectomy due to breast cancer.   Similarly it can help those who have had an augmentation and have been left with scars or discolouration. All medical procedures are treated in the strictest of confidence and a consultation must be carried out prior to treatment.
